The Interior Design Society announces

the Designer of the Year Award Winners!

IDS announced the winners of its prestigious Designer of the Year Awards on Saturday, May 20th, 2017 in Arizona at black tie gala celebrating outstanding projects completed in 2016. Selected by a judging panel of noted designers from across the United States, IDS recognized design excellence in this national design competition.

The Designer of the Year (DOTY) Awards recognizes outstanding achievement in residential interior design among IDS members. There were 24 different categories under the classifications of Kitchens, Baths, Bedrooms, Living Spaces, Singular Areas, Window Treatments and Specialty Awards to name a few.

Representing Design Vision Studio, we are thrilled for Kym Carilo who took home an award in the following category: BEDROOMS ($30K & under)

WINNING ISN’T EVERYTHING…
but WOW – it’s something!

The competition was fierce again this year and we are honored to be recognized amongst this amazing group of talented designers. And a special thank you goes to Jenny Cano, the Executive Director of IDS for a truly inspiring and wonderful conference this year.

ANOTHER REASON WE ARE PROUD MEMBERS OF IDS

This year marks the first combined conference of ART + IDS. This premier event brought together hundreds of home décor professionals, including manufacturers, importers, retailers, sales reps, product designers and interior designers. The conference provided unique networking opportunities where we were able to connect and collaborate while expanding our knowledge, learning the latest advances and best practices in our industry.

The highlight of our experience during this design conference was participating in the community project at Grand Veterans Village in Phoenix, Arizona.

In just 4 short hours, our conference attendees spent the afternoon decorating over 100 rooms, offices and the community center common space for homeless, low-income, and disabled veterans.

It was a privilege serving our veterans and it would not have been possible without our amazing volunteer crew and generous donors!

Thank you!
